Lo primero que debemos saber como turistas es que en la Villa, situada a unos 750 km de Buenos Aires, podremos gozar de 300 días soleados al año. Un dato no menor, que nos permite programar una visita en cualquier momento del año y que prácticamente nos asegura una estadía magnífica.

Esta aldea de estilo alpino, que se inició en la década del 30’ con la llegada de algunas familias alemanas, brinda gastronomía de nivel internacional y una variada oferta hotelera. This village of Alpine-style, which began in the decade of 30′ with the arrival of some German families, provides international level gastronomy and a varied hotel offer. Empecemos el recorrido. Si lo que se busca es una vista panorámica asombrosa, se debe visitar el Cerro de la Virgen. Tras un breve ascenso a pie de 1,700 mts (entre 50 y 60 minutos de caminata), se llega a la cima donde es posible observar los diques Los Molinos y Embalse Río Tercero.

Let us start the tour. If you are looking for an amazing panoramic view, you should visit the Cerro de la Virgen. After a short ascent on foot from 1,700 meters (between 50 and 60 minutes of walking), you will get to the top of the hill where it is possible to see the dikes Los Molinos and Embalse Río Tercero.

Para disfrutar de la naturaleza y la vegetación que rodean a este auténtico paraíso centroeuropeo, se puede recorrer caminando el sendero que bordea los tres arroyos que cruzan la Villa.

To enjoy nature and vegetation surrounding this Central European paradise, you can walk the trail that borders the three streams that cross the town.

La ubicación geográfica de esta ciudad es ideal porque permite hacer tours por el Valle y recorrer los alrededores durante el día, para luego volver a la Villa y disfrutar de un merecido descanso. Algunas aldeas y parajes cercanos que vale la pena visitar son Los Reartes, Villa Berna y Athos Pampa.

Pero sin dudas el circuito que resulta imperdible es La Cumbrecita. A unos 40 km al oeste de Villa General Belgrano, esta villa turística es sencillamente de ensueño: un pueblo peatonal donde no se permite el ingreso con vehículos, no existen bancos y no hay cajeros automáticos ni estaciones de servicio. A la hora del almuerzo, Helmut los sorprenderá con una exquisita trucha ahumada a las finas hierbas que no podrán olvidar!!

Undoubtedly the circuit that not to be missed is La Cumbrecita. About 40 km west of Villa General Belgrano, this tourist village is a dream: a pedestrian village where the entry with vehicles is not allow, there are no banks and no ATM or service stations. At lunchtime, Helmut will surprise you with a delicious smoked trout with herbs that you will not forget!

La Fiesta Nacional de la Cerveza se celebra cada año durante el primer y el segundo fin de semana de octubre. Durante estos días delegaciones de todo el país y distintas colectividades se dan cita en la ciudad para mostrar sus tradicionales trajes y comidas. Cualquiera sea la época en que visitemos la Villa, lo importante será degustar las increíbles cervezas artesanales que aquí se preparan y que satisfacen a los paladares más exigentes. Nuestra recomendación es la fábrica, cervecería y restaurant Viejo Munich.

The national Beer Festival is held every year during the first and the second weekend of October. Throughout these days, delegations from across the country meet up in the city to show their traditional costumes and food. Whatever the time in which we visit the village, we must taste the amazing craft beers that satisfy the most demanding palates. Our recommendation is the factory, brewery and restaurant Viejo Munich.

Villa General Belgrano invita a disfrutar de unos días de descanso, compartiendo en familia los atractivos naturales que rodean al pueblo. Los techos rojos, las ventanas floridas y el abundante uso de piedra y madera, le otorgan un aspecto muy particular y cálido a la Villa, que los hará sentirse en el corazón de algún pueblito perdido en los Alpes centroeuropeos.
